§ 25-71. Continuity of service for private water supply systems.

  • The city reserves the right to discontinue the flow of water for a private water supply system connected to the city's public water supply system at any time, to make repairs, extensions, or alterations to the city's public water supply system. Nevertheless, the director of public works, so far as possible, shall notify customers of the intent to discontinue the flow of water to affected customers prior to discontinuing service. No claim shall be made against the city and no person shall be entitled to any damages by reason of the breaking of any pipes or by reason of any other interruption of the supply of water caused by mechanical breakdown or by other causes within the city's public water supply system.
