§ 25-72. Leak repairs on private customer service pipes.

  • Whenever a leak occurs on a private customer service pipe between the point of delivery and the customer's water meter, the customer must repair the leak within seventy-two (72) hours after written notice to the customer that a leak exists. If the leak is not repaired at the expiration of seventy-two (72) hours after notification to the customer, service may be discontinued. The city reserves the right to discontinue service without notice if the leak is causing an excessive amount of water loss, or is a threat to the public's health, safety or welfare.
