§ 19-71. City registration.

  • (a)

    The city is authorized to charge an annual boat registration fee as follows:

    (1)

    All motors and boats with 0 to 20 hp: Fifteen dollars ($15.00);

    (2)

    All motors and boats with 21 to 40 hp: Twenty-five dollars ($25.00);

    (3)

    All motors and boats with 41 to 65 hp: Thirty-five dollars ($35.00);

    (4)

    All motors and boats with 66 hp or greater: Forty-five dollars ($45.00).

    A decal bearing the city permit number and year shall be placed on the port side of the transom of all boats so registered.

    (b)

    The city is authorized to charge a daily boat registration fee as follows:

    (1)

    All motors and boats with 9 to 20 hp: Three dollars ($3.00);

    (2)

    All motors and boats with 21 to 40 hp: Five dollars ($5.00);

    (3)

    All motors and boats with 41 to 65 hp: Seven dollars ($7.00);

    (4)

    All motors and boats with 66 hp or greater: Nine dollars ($9.00).

    (c)

    Any boat left on the lake after December 31 of any calendar year, not registered as stated above by June 1 of each year, or not having the city decal placed as stated above by June 1 of each year, may be removed from Forest Lake by an appropriate city representative.

    (d)

    The maximum length of stay for a boat on Forest Lake, excluding the docking area, will be fourteen (14) days.
