§ 9. [Fees.]

The grantee shall, in addition to other right-of-way fees stipulated in the city's Right-of-Way Management Ordinance, pay to the city a sum equal to five (5) percent of its gross revenue from the sale of natural gas in the city, and of transportation or distribution fees charged to other gas suppliers using the gas distribution lines of the grantee lying inside the City of Kirksville, excluding any revenue derived from service supplied to the grantor. Said sums shall be payable on or before the 25th day of each successive month on the basis of the preceding month's gross revenues. The grantor shall have the right to inspect the grantee's books and records during normal business hours in the grantee's corporate headquarters, or to make reasonable requests for copies of records to be transmitted to the city in order to verify compliance with this section.
