§ 4-29. Issuance.

  • (a)

    Upon receipt of a complete application, a copy shall be forwarded to city departments who shall make an immediate investigation of the safety and sanitation of the premises of the applicant, and the equipment and furnishing contained in applicant's premises, and shall report the findings of such investigations to the finance department. Any deficiencies must be corrected, inspected and approved before final approval of the license.

    (b)

    After full consideration of the application for a license under this article, the application will be presented to the city council for review and final approval.

    (c)

    The city council of the City of Kirksville shall designate the city manager to act on their behalf in giving consent for the issuance of a temporary license for the sale of intoxicating liquor for events not held within one hundred (100) feet of a school, church, or place of worship, as long as the applicant follows the guidelines regarding any special event.
