§ 22-12. Approval of final plat.

  • (a)

    After approval of the preliminary plat, the subdivider may submit final plats of the major subdivision in stages or in one (1) plat covering the entire ownership.

    (b)

    The final plat shall conform to the preliminary plat as approved.

    (c)

    Prior to the planning commission's approval of a final plat, it shall be certified by the plat officer that it conforms with the preliminary plat as approved, and that all engineering plans for streets, storm drainage facilities, sidewalks, sanitary sewers, street lighting and waterlines have been completed in a satisfactory manner.

    (d)

    Following due consideration of the final plat, the planning commission shall approve or disapprove the final plat. In case of disapproval, the reasons for their actions shall be delivered to the subdivider.

    (e)

    Following approval of the final plat by the planning commission, it shall be forwarded to the city council for approval.

    (f)

    Within fifteen (15) days after the approval of the final plat by the city council, the plat officer shall file the plat with the county recorder.

    (g)

    The subdivider shall pay the cost of recording all final plats and accompanying documents.
