§ 19-120. Water emergencies.

Should a state of emergency arise that would impair the present water quality standards of the water supply at Hazel Creek Lake, the city manager or the public works director of the city will have the authority to declare a state of emergency and will notify the Missouri Department of Conservation, Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Water Quality Division, and the chief of police. All boating and recreation on Hazel Creek Lake shall cease until such time as the emergency situation is corrected and, if appropriate, until approved by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
