§ 19-101. Adoption and enforcement of state statutes.

The City of Kirksville hereby adopts and agrees to enforce, with noted exceptions, all boating and equipment regulations as defined by the Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri on Hazel Creek Lake.

Any person violating any rule or regulation adopted by the city shall be subject to prosecution under the provision of the Code and other laws of the city and state; and provided further, that boating violation may at the discretion of the city result in cancellation of the registration and use on the lake of boats involved for the calendar year in which violation occurs, and any person convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of this article, upon conviction, shall be subject to punishment as provided in this Code.

Hearings for violations of the provision of this article shall be in the Adair County Circuit Court, Municipal Division, and such court shall be entitled to receive complaints and issue process of violations of the provision of this article. Duly authorized personnel of the city shall enforce all violations of this article to the office of the city attorney, who in turn upon the information so furnished shall initiate and prosecute such violations in the same manner as is provided by law for prosecution of other violations of the code and other city ordinances.
