§ 19-76. Operation and speed of motorboats.

(a)
Every operator of a boat shall at all times navigate the same in a careful and prudent manner, and at such a rate of speed as not to endanger the life, limb or property of any person.
(b)
No person shall operate any motorboat at a rate of speed greater than will permit the operator in the exercise of reasonable care to bring the motorboat to a stop within the assured clear distance ahead.
