§ 14-192. Penalty.

  • Every itinerant vendor who sells or exposes for sale, at public or private sale, any goods, wares or merchandise without the license provided for herein or who files an application which contains a false statement, or fails to comply with the provisions of this article, and every person, whether principal or agent, who, in any manner, advertises any such sale before proper license is issued to the vendor shall be guilty of violating the provisions of this article and shall be punished as provided in section 1-7 of this Code. In addition, the itinerant vendor's license, if any, held by such person shall be revoked, and such person shall not be permitted to obtain an itinerant vendor's license for a period of three (3) years from the date of such conviction.
