§ 12-7. Liability of city for damages, defects, etc.

This chapter shall not be construed as imposing upon the city any liability or responsibility for damages to any person injured by a defect in any gas piping or appliance mentioned in this chapter or by the installation thereof, nor shall the gas inspector of the city or any official or employee of such inspector be held as assuming any such liability or responsibility by reason of the inspection authorized under this chapter or by the certificate of approval issued by the gas inspector.
